Sworn to the sound and dedicated to the death, Herakleion blends 1980s thrash and death metal, with absolute reverence. Taking influence from Voïvod, Pestilence, and Morbid Angel; Herakleion learned from the pioneers, yet sounds like none of them. This is no mere tribute to the past. This is the future.

With an obsessive dedication to a bygone era, Herakleion set out to make their second record the hard way. “We didn’t want to use any digital or computer assistance at all”, cites drummer, Speed Wilson. “It was important that we did it the way bands used to do it; live and without a click. The record needed to sound like a band, not a collection of perfectly placed blocks”.
