Our
Story

Moshmellow! a wide array music venue, bar, arcade, and studio space located in the heart of St. Louis south side. Mosh is to represent the heavier genres of punk and metal, and Mellow is for Jazz and Rnb. Moshmellow is not just representative of the genres it encompasses, but also nudges one toward a way of life. That is, rocking out while still maintaining a sense of groundedness. The first iteration and inspiration of "Moshmellow", which didn't bear the name at the time, was a group operating as the Toad House a house show venue based in Edwardsville IL circa 2017. This house paired with the Cobbler Shop another house show venue to form the 618 house show alliance in order to advance the local music scene and provide otherwise unheard-of artists with a platform to be heard, some of which burgeoned from that crest and still function and thrive within the Saint Louis area today. Over the course of the next few years, the operators moved to throw shows in the punk capital of Tennessee, Murfreesboro. Upon returning to saint louis and operating as Mr. Magenta Productions our owner has booked the Lucas Schoolhouse for a year and a half, and sought to bring that energy to life in a place more accessible to the general public. Moshmellow now operates out of the old Foam a widely known music venue for not only it's broad horizon of artists, but community enrichment. Moshmellow seeks to carry the torch and add exponentially to that flame. Our goals are to promote local artists of all mediums, be a haven for touring musicians, and foster a sense of community and connectivity that benefits both Saint Louis and the Cherokee street area.
